  • What is the best way to approach an awkward and possibly embarrassing question?

It has been a while since I have written anything, and i have been looking for a FQ to help me jump right back in with both feet.  This question happens to be the one.  Not because I have a great answer for the FQ, but because I do not understand the question.

What is the best way to approach an awkward or embarrassing question?

the question seems to vague for a general answer, I would assume that best answer is that it depends on a details: 1) What is the subject matter of the embarrassing question?  2) Who is asking the embarrassing question?  3) Who will be hearing the answer?  Immediately or Ultimately.

    Possible embarrassing questions from  Mom:

What is that mark on your neck?
    Are you still a virgin?
You do know where babies come from, don’t you?
Any story from own sexual experience followed by a question…

Possible embarrassing questions from your doctor:

You private parts sees a little red and inflamed have you been…….?
Have you engaged in any of the following sexual practices in the last 60 days……..? Followed by a list.
I do not like the looks of that.  I am going to have to notify the DoH and CDC, have you ever….?
When was your last period?  Do you masturbate often?

Possible embarrassing question for a date / significant other:

It smells weird in here, did you just fart?
I knew this persona that once (fill in the deviancy), have you ever……?  (Only embarrassing if true)

Possible embarrassing questions from gay gym teacher:

What are you doing Saturday?  Would like to help me wash my jeep?

I am sure there are many others, but I am kind of pressed for time.  In other news, it feels good to have a few minutes to read and write a blog.  The weather is perfect right now, raining, I love it when it rains.  I read a blog form a dear friend that is going through a bad time, and although things are not better, it was nice to hear from them. Work,School, and Baby are keeping me very busy.  Started speaking to my brother again, he called me, he thinks six months is too long for us to not have spoken.  He wants to see his niece this weekend.  I am still undecided, but I am sure it will all work out for the best.  That about sums it up. I was tagged last week to write 10 to 12 things about me that you may or may not know.  I have not gotten around to it, but I am going too.

  • News from Home

A man with a blurred penis was tasered by police in Brooklyn.  The police were called by the man’s mother when he was out on the fire escape threatening to jump.  The NYPD arrived and tasered the man. He and his blurred penis died after falling from the fire escape.  This is why I do not miss Brooklyn, too many crazy people with blurred penises (or is it penii?) jumping off buildings.

This is the funniest picture I have seen in months.  I found it on the New York Post website.  Did they even consider covering the guys dick with a black dot?  Blurring it is fucking ridiculous.  I guess they were afraid that someone would see the picture and think that a man wearing a black dot was killed by police.

What is the plural of penis?

  • The Election is about Race

I spent the few weeks reading blogs about the upcoming election and spent a considerable amount of time listening to political commentary on both Fox News and CNN.  After absorbing as much political information as I can tolerate, I have determined that John McCain and Sarah Palin will be our next President and Veep respectively.

I am very sure that this is an election that will be decided by the silent majority.  The silent majority of racists and those who fear being called a racist.  I am predicting a tight race up to last minutes of Election day and then a landslide victory for the Republicans.

I think white people are afraid to say that they are voting McCain for fear of being called a racists.  Every news bit I read or watch has the election so close that direction changes almost hourly, however every person that I have spoken to has said casually that they are pulling for McCain.  Allow me to add that many of these people have a history of siding with the left.

Not one person that I know has said they are not voting for Obama because of his race, they have all given a wide array of reasons why they prefer McCain, but I am skeptical to say the least.

I am personally hoping for McCain, and I have several reasons, none of which i feel obligated to share in this blog, but I can assure they have nothing to do with race and much more to do with my views on the foreign and economic policy. I work for an organization that hires many minority employees and have been very hesitant to say that I like McCain for fear of being thought of as a racist.  I can only assume that many others feel the same way.

I tend to agree more with left when it comes to issues like abortion, censorship, and the environment, but as of now I do not have strong enough opinions on those issues to change my opinion.

I am sure that I will be receiving many nasty comments to this blog, but the truth will be revealed in about six weeks.  Time will most certainly tell.

You know it’s true, because I said it.

  • Political Conspiracy – Updated So the “Left” can laugh too…

I posted this yesterday and was very surprised to have not received any comments, then I was thinking about my audience.  I have decided to update the post so the left can enjoy it also.  I am more of an attention whore than a republican, so I would rather have comments than be loyal to my party.  Politics is overrated anyways.  Do you know who should be President?  Me, because I am an honest person, love my country and am not an asshole.  But I would never even make it on the ticket.  That is what is wrong with America.

It seems that Sarah Palin may have six children, not the five children the media has reported. The sixth child is none other than Tina Fey from SNL fame.  Again, the evidence speaks for itself.

I have been reading a lot of posts lately about the upcoming election,
abortion, and it looks like everyone has an opinion.  I think that is a
good thing everyone is supposed to have an opinion.  Your opinion is as
valuable as your vote, so come November be sure to exercise both.  One
thing that I have not seen much of is Political Conspiracy.  i have a
theory that has been on my mind for few days and I have discussed with
a few people at work and everyone seems to think that I am on to
something.  I think it is important that you are also aware of these
facts when you go to cast your vote this fall.

Everyone is making a big deal about Governor Palin’s 17-year-old
pregnant daughter, but is completely ignoring Michele Obamas hidden
daughter.  Omarosa from “The Apprentice.”  The evidence speaks for itself.

I also have a theory that Michele Obama was used in science experiment that even she may not be aware of.  I contend that Michele Obama and Sigourney Weaver are the first ever inter-racial identical twins. Again I think the evidence speaks for itself.

You have heard it here first, just wait until this breaks in the media.

  • Tyra Banks Update

I just watched the two hour season premier of America’s Next Top Model (TiVO…I know it was last Wednesday).  For those of you that did not know it is my favorite of the reality shows.  I find the ridiculousness of Tyra banks mesmerizing.

Well in Episode 1, Tyra states that she is NOT an Ivy League college graduate.  This was said in response to her questions a contestant who is a Harvard  Grad about her favorite literary heroine.  You could have knocked me over with purple Kool-Aid powder over the fact that she is not a daughter of the Ivy league.  She always seems so intelligent to me.

I have not spent enough time thinking over the contestants, so i have not yet picked my favorite to win.  I should have someone in mind by the end of week 3.

Also, the ranny has to go……..he looks like a man.

  • If you could own any celebrity’s wardrobe whose would it be?

This one is easy…….Simon Cowell.  Lets face it, that guy is an asshole, but he always looks neat and comfortable.  Those are the two things that I put most value on when shopping.  I have never seen an episode of American Idol, but it always seems to playing in the background.  Every time I see the guy, he wearing jeans and what appears to be a very comfortable and I am sure terribly expensive V-Neck shirt….either black or grey.  You can never go wrong with the classics.

So although the show is the worst thing that has ever happened to television or America in general, there is an upside.  Simon always looks comfortable and well dressed, Chruchill did a great job in WWII, and the brits have always been a good allies since we fixed that problem with tea several years back.

I am going with Simon Cowell.

However, if the question was, “If you could share one celebrity’s ignorance, who would it be?”  Then I would have choose Tyra Banks.

This one is for Dan (TheTheologiansCafe).  Most of my posts are lame, hoever I think this FQ was very creative.  So I expect him to mention that and to comment on that fact.

  • What is the most obnoxious roommate behavior you have ever put up with?

Let keep it quick and easy, and just say that I was fortunate enough to have lived alone when I left my parents home  until I got married, as far living with wife, lets just say we are very happy together and leave the little annoyances of living with someone for a different day / time / post.   I hope everyone had a nice  holiday weekend.  My vacation is officaly over,  I will up at 5:30 am tomorrow and on the big train to NYC at 7:20…….I am not looking forard, it was a glorious week off, most of which was spent at the beach.  Kicked ass in World Civ, I am sure I am getting an A, and my final grade is back from last semester’s biology class.  I got the B that I was hoping for, and I am 8 credits closer to the degree that  I have been longing for.  Overall school has not been so bad  considering my 10+ year hiatus.  Should be done in 12 to 18 months, long over due and I can not wait.

Kind of got off the point of the FQ, but it sucked anyways. I was going to pulse about school and the end of my vacation, but now I do not have to.  Have a good evening.
